FAQ
What’s the advantage to make CNC parts in China, and what is’s the disadvantage?
Advantage: China Labor cost is much lower than the US, the electricity rate is much lower Europe, in recently years, some of the CNC machine already meet the basically tolerance requirements, and the price is much lower than Japanese and European machine. The raw steel, aluminum, copper, price is lower than Europe and the US.
Disadvantage:
1. Most of the workers and engineers don’t speak English, the drawings in English have to be translated to Chinese, otherwise some of the requirements won’t be performed according to the drawing.
2. When the order is placed to some of the factories, they start to review the drawing, then let the customer know what requirement/tolerance can’t be meet(this job was supposed to be completed in the RFQ process).
3. Some of the material/OTS parts lead time time is long and price is high, if the equivalent material/parts is not allowed to used, for example, medical grade POM, currently it has to be imported from overseas.
