FAQ

 

Q1: Why the prototype is so expensive?

 

There are many reasons caused the the prototype price is high:

  • To make one prototype it always has to prepare 2 or 3 materials, it depends on how difficult the module is.
  • The time and cost for CNC programing the prototype have to be shared with one part instead of hundreds of parts.
  • If the part have to be have the second operation(for example bead blast, anodize), the shipping cost have to be shared with only only one part.
  • It’s time consuming to set up the machine, and it’s time consuming to make the fixture, it takes couples hours to make the first part, when the programming and process is proofed workable, the second and the third parts takes much less time on machining.
  • Sometimes, it’s unavoidable to make mistake in programming and the process of set up the machine, the risk has to be taken into consideration.
